Dr. Nikhil A. Patil

Consultant Anesthesiologist

Dr. Nikhil A. Patil is a skilled and experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist at Cancer Centers of America (CCA), Nashik, with a strong foundation in anesthesiology and critical care. He completed his MD in Anesthesiology from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha, Maharashtra, in 2015 and earned his MBBS from ACPM Medical College, Dhule, in 2010. Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Patil has actively pursued continuous professional development, including participation in the MCI-recognized Basic Course Workshop in Medical Education Technology and successful certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.

 

With over a decade of extensive clinical experience, Dr. Patil has worked across various reputed healthcare institutions, honing his expertise in managing complex anesthesia and critical care scenarios. His clinical acumen extends to providing anesthesia across specialties, including neurosurgery, obstetrics, pediatric surgery, and interventional cardiology, with a strong command over regional anesthesia techniques such as thoracic and cervical epidurals, brachial plexus blocks, PECS I & II, erector spinae plane blocks, scalp blocks, and paravertebral blocks.

 

Dr. Patil is highly proficient in emergency airway management procedures, including cricothyroidotomy and fiberoptic bronchoscopy-guided difficult airway intubations. He is also skilled in performing bronchoscopy-guided ICU procedures such as bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and diagnostic bronchoscopy, enhancing his ability to manage complex respiratory conditions in critical care settings. In addition, he is adept at performing percutaneous tracheostomy, intercostal drainage tube insertions, and ultrasound-guided vascular access, including arterial lines and central venous catheters.

 

A passionate academician and researcher, Dr. Patil has contributed to the scientific community through impactful presentations and publications. His research work includes a comparative study on the efficacy of various analgesic combinations in brachial plexus block presented at a national conclave, and poster presentations on anesthesia in burn management. His articles, including studies on pre-anesthetic teleconsultations and airway management in obese patients, have been published in reputed indexed journals.
